State Method is a founder-led AI engineering company for construction and ConTech. It diagnoses, pilots and builds controlled AI agents around one bounded operational workflow at a time, with explicit evidence, authority, approval, failure and recovery.
State Method is led by Hugo Sequier, AI engineer and data scientist.
Founder story
State Method is built from operating experience.
Hugo has seven years of software development experience. His documented construction work spans AI agents, computer vision, technical-document intelligence, workflow automation and full-stack product delivery. Projects on construction plans, technical documents and site video combine ambiguous input with rule-heavy operating decisions.
That work exposed a recurring engineering problem: a model can return a useful answer while the workflow around it still lacks a clear state, permission boundary, reviewer or recovery path. State Method was created to make those operating questions part of the commercial and technical scope from the start.
Technical doctrine
AI systems should have a known state.
A model may extract, classify, summarize, recommend, identify uncertainty or produce a draft. Software should control validation, state transitions, permissions, calculations, business rules, retries, logs and action gates. A named person remains responsible for consequential review, exceptions and the decision to proceed.
Control is not a claim that all model use is dangerous. It is a way to match authority to consequence and make failure manageable.
